Panna Cotta

Hi Friends,
Today I would like to share with you the recipe of an Italian dessert, "Panna Cotta", which means "cooked cream". Even though the name suggests so, we are not cooking the cream here, just making it warm only. Also, there are not much ingredients and we can make a variety of panna cottas by adding various fruit purees or spices. Here I am sharing the recipe of a simple Panna Cotta.

First we will soak the china grass or agar agar stripes. You can also use gelatin. Here I'm using agar agar strips. Soak it for 15 minutes and then take it out and then put it into the milk. After that boil this milk, add sugar to it. Meanwhile, pour the whipping cream into a pan and put it on the stove top and switch on the flame and turn the flame to low. Once the agar stripes are melted completely, pour it to the warm whipping cream and add some vanilla essence and mix it. Switch off the flame and pour the mixture into the moulds. Allow it to cool for sometime. Then refrigerate it to atleast 6 hours.

Ingredients:

Fresh Cream/ Whipping Cream - 2 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Aga agar strips - 15g
Vanilla essence - 1.5 tsp

Preparation:
Soak agar agar in water. Drain it out and put it into the milk. Add some sugar to the milk and allow it to boil until agar stripes are completely melted.

Allow the fresh cream to warm in a low flame.

Add milk mixture to the cream. and add vanilla essence.
Mix it and switch off the flame and allow it to cool.
Refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
Tasty panna cotta is ready.

You can serve it with some strawberry sauce
