In microwave ovens a part of electrical energy supplied is converted into microwave energy, and using this microwave radiation, food is cooked.
Today different types of microwave ovens are present in the market. When we plan to buy a microwave oven, first think about the purpose for which we are buying it and then buy the oven that is best suited for our purpose.
- Solo Microwave Oven: These can be categorized as the basic microwave oven models. In this type, we can adjust power and time, but can’t adjust the temperature. In this, we can

- Grill Microwave Oven: In this type along with solo microwave, heating coils will be there, which help us to grill and roast our food items. The grilling process helps to brown the surface of the food items. In this type also, we can’t adjust the temperature.
- Convection Microwave Oven: The first thing to say is that; don’t get it confused with conventional ovens. In convection microwave oven, in addition to heating coils, a fan will also be there, which helps to uniformly circulate the heat generated in the coils. By using a convection oven, you can bake cookies, cakes or pizza. Also, convection microwave makes your food crispier than in a solo microwave.
