Special day calls for a special recipe, isn't it? So today I'll share with you people, a yummy mutton curry recipe.
Earlier I was not that much fond of mutton dishes. After coming to Abu Dhabi I started eating mutton.Then started making experimentation in mutton dishes and one of the best outcomes is the following mutton curry.
Here comes the recipe:
Mutton- 1kg
Onion - 4 (medium size)
Shallots - 1 cup
Ginger paste - 1 tbsp
Garlic paste - 1.5 tbsp
Green Chillies - 4 to 5
Tomato - 2 (small size)
Turmeric powder - 1tsp
Red Chilli powder - 2 tbsp
Coriander powder - 3 tbsp
Pepper powder - 1.5 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 2tsp
Salt
Oil
Curry Leaves
Preparation:
Slice the onions and keep it aside.
Crush the shallots into smaller pieces.
Cut green chillies into small pieces.
Dice the tomatoes into small pieces.
Pour 2 tbsp oil into a pan. Once oil become hot, add sliced onions, chillies and curry leaves.
When onion become transparent, add crushed shallots, ginger paste and garlic paste. Saute well. Once it get cooked, add tomatoes and allow it to cook for sometime .
After that add turmeric powder, chillies powder, pepper powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder. Then add mutton.
Put enough salt and cook until the mutton becomes soft.
Note: Usually, water from mutton itself maybe enough for it to get cooked.If it's not enough, add some hot water and cook.
