Spring Roll




Hi Friends...
Today I'm here with the recipe of spring roll. It's a snack item and children will love this much.
In this recipe, I am using noodles in the filling. You can either use instant noodles or normal noodles.
Now coming to the recipe...

Ingredients:
Noodles
Carrot - 1 (grated)
Cabbage - 1 cup (chopped)
Spring onion
Chilli
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Soya sauce - 1tsp
Salt
Boneless Chicken - 100g
All purpose flour- 1 cup
Water
Egg - 1
Bread crumbs (optional)
Oil for frying

Preparation:

  • First cut the boneless chicken into small pieces and cook it with some salt and pepper powder. Then shred it into small pieces.
  • Next cook the noodles.( If you are using the instant noodles, cook is as per the instructions.) Drain it and put it aside.


  • Heat a pan. Pour some oil and saute the vegetables. 
  • Once the vegetables get half cooked, add the cooked noodles to it and mix it properly. 

  • Then add soya sauce and pepper powder and enough salt and again mix it well.
  • Now add the shredded chicken to it.
  • Now it's time to prepare the spring roll sheets.You can also use store bought spring roll wrappers, because making the sheets is a little time consuming process. Make a thin batter using all purpose flour and water and add salt to it.

  • Heat a pan. Pour little amount of batter into the hot pan and spread it using the spoon to form a thin circle. Take it out of the pan and keep it aside and make the remaining sheets also.
  • In a bowl beat the eggs. Add some pepper powder and salt and mix well.

  • Take the spring roll sheet and put the filling unto half portion of the circle. Roll it and seal the edges with some water or all purpose flour paste. Do the same to the remaining sheets.
  • Heat oil in a pan.( You can either deep fry or shallow fry)
  • Now put the rolls into beaten egg, take it out and coat it with bread crumbs. ( Here I didn't use bread crumbs. But I recommend using bread crumbs because it will reduce oil absorption.)
  • Put it into hot oil and just fry it both sides and then remove from the oil.

  • Serve it hot.
